3 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert

Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Marrakech, driving through the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains and crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters. Along the way, you will admire spectacular landscapes of valleys, Berber villages perched on hillsides, and snow-capped peaks in winter. We stop at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its earthen clay architecture and its role as a backdrop in many international films. After exploring this historic site, we continue to Ouarzazate, often called the "Hollywood of Africa," before passing through the lush oasis of Skoura and the fragrant Valley of Roses. By late afternoon, we reach the stunning Dades Valley, where you can relax and enjoy dinner in a traditional riad or hotel surrounded by beautiful landscapes.

After breakfast, the adventure continues with a drive through small Berber villages and valleys until we arrive at the breathtaking Todra Gorges, a natural canyon with towering cliffs that attract climbers and photographers from all over the world. You will have time to walk along the river and enjoy the cool atmosphere before heading to the desert region. We then travel through the oasis of Tinejdad and the town of Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and lively date market. In the afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara desert. Here, a memorable experience awaits: a camel trekking journey across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets over the endless sands, the colors of the desert shift beautifully, offering an unforgettable view. You will reach your desert camp, where you will be welcomed with mint tea, enjoy a delicious dinner, and spend the night under the stars, accompanied by the rhythm of traditional Berber drums.

Your day begins with the magical experience of watching the sunrise over the Sahara dunes, a moment you will never forget. After breakfast and a camel ride back to the village, the journey continues through the ancient town of Rissani, once an important trading post on the old caravan routes. From here, we drive through the majestic Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and fortified villages. Along the way, you will enjoy ever-changing scenery, from rocky mountains to lush valleys and desert plateaus. We stop for lunch in Ouarzazate before crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains and retracing our route over the High Atlas back to Marrakech. Arrival is expected in the evening, where your 3-day desert adventure concludes with lifelong memories of Morocco’s magical landscapes.
