Day Trip from Marrakech to Ourika Valley

Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech around 8:30 AM. The journey begins through the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, passing through beautiful landscapes dotted with small villages and lush greenery.

Your first stop will be at a local argan oil cooperative, where Berber women demonstrate the traditional process of extracting the precious oil. Continue along the valley to admire terraced fields and fruit orchards before reaching the village of Setti Fatma — the heart of Ourika Valley.

Here, you’ll meet a local guide who will lead you on a short hike to the Setti Fatma waterfalls, offering stunning views of the valley below. Take your time to enjoy the natural scenery or dip your feet in the cool mountain streams.

After the hike, relax at one of the riverside restaurants and savor a freshly prepared Moroccan lunch — often featuring tagine, couscous, or grilled meats served with mint tea.

In the afternoon, you’ll have time to stroll through the village, meet locals, and explore the weekly souk if it coincides with your visit (Monday or Thursday). Finally, sit back and enjoy the scenic drive back to Marrakech, arriving in the early evening.
